The fundamental similarities between the Taliban and the Christian fundamentalists behind these campaigns of hate and intolerance cannot be denied. Their differences are superficial at best.

In 14 years in the state legislature, he worked toward 10 of those points. Now, he disavows it entirely and claims to be “moderate”.
