Fundamentalist Fake Pastor Begs Christians to "Boycott Houston"

Not only has an Amarillo “pastor” (without a church) decided that Christians should boycott Houston for having the gall to elect a lesbian as mayor, but he has also deeply offended the Paliban Daily by mimicking our website. And lied about his conduct.

That’s right, the Boycott Houston website is identical to your favorite website that you’re reading right now, the Paliban Daily. In addition to this offense, the creator — David Grisham of Amarillo, Texas — has called upon the dozens who listen to him to boycott Houston, Texas. Houston’s grave sins? Let’s review Grisham’s articles.

First of all, this has nothing to do with the mayor as a person. This has nothing to do with personality and everything to do with principle. Any openly homosexual person elected into a major public office, by their very election, brings with them a radical agenda.

Yes indeed. Just look at Jim Kolbe of Arizona. A radical Republican agenda.

This is not a coincidence but is part of a larger agenda. Homosexual activists are trying to shove their perversions down the throat of society.

I wonder . . . Does Mr. Grisham often worry about homosexuals trying to shove things down his throat? Perhaps he has horrible nightmares about such things, waking up soaked with sweat, heart pounding in his ears? It’s a mighty graphic imagery to invoke.

Their intent is aggressively attempting to get recognition of their vile affection as normal. Homosexuality, in and of itself, produces nothing beneficial to society. In fact, in and of itself, it produces nothing but disease and death. Since the mayor is openly homosexual, Christians are without the excuse of ignorance.

Maybe they have the excuse of not being overly concerned whether or not their Mayor’s partner has a tallywhacker. Personally, I never wonder about the partner of MY Mayor, nor do I try to envision the relations in which said Mayor might engage.

Does Mr. Grisham spend an inordinate amount of time worrying about Mayoral relations? I wonder.

Homosexual activists are attempting to usurp normalcy through the news media, movies, television, public school systems, and politics. Radical homosexual activism is attempting to get its foot in the door of Texas politics. Our advice is to slam the door on its foot. Homosexuality belongs back in the closet. Once back in the closet ,we as a culture, need to lock the closet door, nail it shut, brick it up, and put a guard on it.

Am I the only one wondering what Mr. Grisham thinks about Uganda’s “death for homosexuals” law?

As Christians, we love homosexuals as individuals but we hate the sin of homosexuality as an offense to God, as a destructive and deadly lifestyle to those involved, and as a degenerate force in our culture.

One of the greatest offenses against decency in this whole thing was Joel Osteen, Senior pastor of the largest church in America, giving his blessing to this unholy election. He needs to repent! Voice your opposition to this by throwing away any of his books that you may have and not buying any more.

Well, I find it hard to disagree with that last line. It’s always a good idea to throw away a Joel Osteen book.

Grisham also offers an equally insightful article about the new Planned Parenthood clinic opening in Houston. You may notice a pattern of attacking a certain megachurch pastor.

Abortion is America’s holocaust. In fact, it is worse than the holocaust of Hitler’s Nazi regime. It has murdered far more people. It is worse than our past sins of slavery and attrocities against Native Americans. Approximately 50 million babies have been murdered through abortion since it Roe v Wade in 1973. In a nation filled with millions of Bibles, thousands of churches, and the freedom to speak out, there is absolutely no excuse for the abortion clinics of this nation to not be beseiged by thousands of praying, preaching Christians on a daily basis. This nation’s Christians could bankrupt every abortion clinic in the country in a month if they came out in force against this evil. How can we “love our neighbor as we love ourselves” if we allow our neighbors to murder their children? Where are the watchmen in Houston? Why are they silent? Houston Christians should be ashamed. To have the largest evangelical church in the nation and yet allow the nation’s largest death camp for the unborn is absolute hypocrisy! Not that Joel Osteen would have the courage to confront sin anyway! It might hurt his book sales. The Christians of Houston need to do something about this gigantic house of horrors. They need to shut it down. If several thousand praying, preaching Christians showed up in front of that clinic on an everyday basis it would be bankrupt in a month or two. But Christans have to be more concerned about the lives of others than sports or movies to get it done. How is it that tens of thousands of Christians can show up and scream loudly at a football game and yet drive silently by, ignoring an abortion clinic? Or stand by watching it go into operation and do nothing? The Christians of Houston who allowed this evil to be constructed and allowed the election of a sodomite as mayor are obviously either asleep or they do not love righteousness. Either way, they will answer to God for this. Better they answer to God for stopping it rather than approving of it by their silence. America is on the brink of the judgement of God for shedding innocent blood. Does Houston want to be the murder capital of America in the eyes of God?

If you elect another mayor in your next election and shut down the Planned Parenthood slaughterhouse we will shut down this website. But we cannot support the evil you have allowed to flourish in your midst with our money. We choose righteousness. We choose Christ!

We are pleased to see that Grisham’s mockery of the Paliban Daily does not extend to adopting an intelligent or cohesive writing style. His work isn’t even up to the level of ChristWire, the God-mockery site which months ago decided that looking just like the Paliban Daily was the best way to get readers.

Grisham has even presented an online petition on his site. Its success so far?

So far, the boycott hasn’t gained much traction. A petition on the Web site in support of the boycott has been signed by just four people so far, including “Hugh Jass.”

Mr. Jass’s name has been removed, but I’m glad to see that my neighbor, Amanda Hugankis, is still there.

All jokes aside, Grisham’s other website, RepentAmarillo.com, strikes a militaristic tone.

The header includes an image of a soldier (in full gear), with helicopter and Humvee in the background. “Army of God: Stronger. For Him” says the slogan, with an image of a necklace with a pentagram in it.

Um, ok. A very Christian symbol, right? I guess it’s supposed to be the Lone Star of Texas.

In keeping with the military theme, people joining up are referred to as “Soldiers”, and can use Grisham’s “Spiritual Warfare” map.

Who is “Pastor David Grisham of Amarillo”?

According to a guest column he contributed to amarillo.com, he’s no pastor at all. Instead, he is “director of Repent Amarillo”. He explains his “Spiritual Warfare”:

The spiritual map on our Web site, which has generated so much controversy, is designed to do several things. Its purposes are to illuminate for Christians areas in which spiritual darkness is operating, provide a focus for their prayers, and to open their spiritual eyes as to the levels of encroachment that evil has penetrated our city.

The evils? According to the map, they are:

• “Sexually Oriented Business” – porno shops, family planning clinics who “brainwash young people into using birth control instead of abstinence”, gay bars, swingers clubs.
• “Occult Witchcraft” (as opposed to non-occult witchcraft?) – Coffeehouse where a pagan group meets once a week; Nature Center with an “earth circle” which could be used for pagan worship; new age and music shops.
• “Idol Worship” – any non-Protestant houses of worship, like First Church of Practical Christianity (an oxymoron if ever I heard one), Masonic lodges, Universalist church, Buddhist shrine (“False God”), and mosque (“Allah is a false god and Muhammed is a false prophet”).
• “Compromised Church’s” (sic) – The area’s two gay-friendly churches.

I had no idea Amarillo was such a cesspool of depravity. Might be worth a visit!

I think that claiming the shutdown of Route66 Swingers Club and Avenue 10 as victorys (sic) in the Repent Amarillo message board entails that you also take responsibility. Don’t pass the buck, man.

Mr. Grisham does have valid points. However, as a very committed and outspoken Christian, I believe our best course of action is to just let people see the Bible through how we live our lives If they look at us and see we have a joy and a peace — even in the midst of a horrible storm in our lives — that says more about what we are given when we serve the Lord than reciting Bible verses. That being said, I do not hesitate to say that I am a Christian. God does not need to be televised or publicized to work His wonders. All we have to do is say a prayer. Not picket a business or accost their customers. Okay, AGN, you can remove my comment now. I spoke about faith.

You admitted in another article that some of YOUR members were taking pictures and license plates because THEY knew the people. You failed to admit that here Grisham and claimed that nothing of the kind happened. Lying is a sin Grisham, and withholding of the full story is a lie.

And Grisham may not have taken names and photos outside the club and posted them on his website, but he did post on his forum “Swinger Names! Here is a List of Names of Swingers who were defeated in court on Dec. 11th 2009. This Information is now Public Records.” Along with their pictures. One taken, it would appear, outside a club.
