Ask Pastor Mike: The Cyberstalking Psycho

Today, I received this very disturbing email:

Pastor Mike:

I recently became the victim of an online stalker.

He goes all over the Internet, claiming I’m a witch, and that my grandmother is a witch, and that a good friend is also a witch.

He claims I stole the name of my dream interpretation website from him (www.ministryofdreams.org), which is not true, I paid for the domain. $500! He’s trying to intimidate me into giving it to him free, and making death threats against me!

He says, and I quote, “hi, your not to desired on net, and steal ministry of dreams, your ruin is nigh, your name will be openly mocked, for I the LOrd will lead my child to go to some of the people where you have posted and tell them what you have done, I already have hit one, and you are turning red in face, they will all mock you and did anyhow,” and it goes on like that for about two full pages.

He says I stole the “holy name spoken by the Lord” of “ministry of dreams” and that “ministry of dreams is bible prophecy”!

What should I do? It took me a long time to come up with the name, and I paid for it, and I already had business cards printed and all.

Well, L., this can be a scary situation. Do you have a gun in the house? If not, I suggest you get one, just in case he shows up.

The question you have to ask yourself is, “How much does this domain matter to me?”

If you are a strong woman who defends her rights and has faith in God, you should tell him NO. You bought that domain name, fair and square. It’s yours, and he can’t take it from you.

As far as his saying you’re a witch . . . ignore it. Don’t respond to name-calling. You know better than that!

You should forward his threats to the FBI for investigation. He may be a Muslim terrorist, pretending to be a Christian! Be sure to record his IP address and save all the emails he sends you!

I reviewed the other post you sent me, where you translated one of his “rants” into something sensible. Now, this might seem like a strange idea, but bear with me:

Maybe if he sent you one rant a week and you translated it and posted it, he’d be happy because his “material” would get viewed by many people, and you’d get more dream interpreting and get others to contribute their ideas of what his dreams mean.

I hope some of this is helpful. Go with God, child!

I want you to pray for my daughter age 17 Lisa . She wasnt going to school, she is in denial and maybe bi polar or more. She seems to have mental problems and I dont know how to make her get help. She is in another state with my older daughter. I was hoping she could relate better. It not the case. I feel lost and worried about her.I am her Mom and her Dad feels the same.

i am a new pastor and i have a person in the congregation whom i have good reason to believe is a witch and whom is working witchcraft over me and the members of my church. How should i respond to them.

I am deeply troubled by your plight, as expressed above. It sounds like you could be in mortal danger!!

I’d love to respond to your problem in a column and give you some solid, Biblical advice. But first, I’ll need a bit more information. Why do you believe the person is a witch? What manner of witchcraft is she (or he?) using? What sort of a church are you a pastor of, that allows female pastors? (Or are you a transexual or cross-dresser?) Please give as much detail as you like; I’ll be happy to edit it down to a level readers will find informative and interesting.

I realize from your comment that English is not your first language. For example, you used “whom” in an instance where it is not referring to a direct object (“who” is proper English in this instance); you changed number in mid-paragraph (“a person”, “them”), and while it’s clear your shift key works, you don’t seem to understand basic capitalization rules. Why, if I didn’t know better, I would think you were a semi-literate atheist texting-addicted teenager who was just barely able to avoid yammering in 733+4rc|-speak!

This, combined with your being a drag queen or worse, a female, will make it very difficult for readers to believe that you’re a genuine Pastor of a Christian church. So, I strongly recommend having your English as a Second Language instructor review your letter before sending it. Also, either explain how in your culture “Cece” is a male name, or find some other reason to justify referring to yourself as a “Pastor”, when this is clearly forbidden by the Bible.

Thanks, and I sure hope I can help you with your witchcraft problem!
