White House Agrees: Sotomayor Racist
On Friday, the White House joined so-called “right-wing nut jobs” in blasting Supreme Court Nominee Sonia Sotomayor’s 2001 comment that a “wise Latina woman” could make better judgments than a white man.
While White House spokesman Robert Gibbs attempts to spin this obvious bigotry as “simply making the point that personal experiences are relevant to the process of judging”, it’s obvious that Sotomayor is a Class A bigot.
Let’s look at La Raza for a moment.
As a member of the National Council of La Raza, Ms. Sotomayor said [in 2001]: “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion as a judge than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”
La Raza teaches that Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington State make up an area known as “Aztlan” — a fictional ancestral homeland of the Aztecs before Europeans arrived in North America.
These areas belong to the Latinos and Latinas and must be surrendered to “La Raza” once enough immigrants, legal or illegal, come to constitute a majority, as in Los Angeles. Once this is achieved, the current borders of the United States will simply be obliterated.
But the “reconquista” won’t end with territorial occupation and secession. The final plan for the La Raza movement includes the ethnic cleansing of Americans of European, African, and Asian descent out of “Aztlan.”
Miguel Perez, a La Raza spokesman at Cal State-Northridge, has been quoted as saying: “The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing would commence: Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled — opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep power.”
It’s interesting that 60% of this “wise Latina woman’s” judgments which have been appealed to the Supreme Court were overturned. Apparently, her wisdom does not extend to Constitutional Law.
Why is it acceptable for this member of La Raza (that is, “The Race”), considered the Latino KKK, to be a member of the Supreme Court, while a white person who even dares to speak against illegal immigration is branded a bigot and blacklisted from any job of significance greater than burger-flipper at McDonald’s?

You’re confusing the National Council of La Raza with MEChA, the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan. If you Google that last quote, most websites identify Miguel Perez as part of MEChA’s CSUN chapter. La Raza doesn’t have college chapters.
In other words, they’re two separate organizations.

Thank you for your polite and informative comment, David! (No, really. You may have noticed that our commenters are often vulgar and rude. I appreciate a gentleman.)
I’ll review your links tonight or tomorrow and see what comes up.
You do realize that at the best, all this means is that NCLR promotes illegal immigration and educates illegal aliens on how best to break American laws — something they do not contest doing — but doesn’t advocate taking over part of the country. It’s an improvement, but not much of one.
