Bristol Palin: Abstinence 'Not Realistic at All'

During the 2008 election, Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol was widely vilified by the Left for following in their footsteps . . . Fornicating wildly, then bearing unwanted brats out of wedlock with no means of support. We and other Christian groups urged compassion for little Bristol, as surely she’d made a simple mistake, and had taken responsibility for her straying from God’s path. bristol palin shrugs

We were wrong.

After months of silent shame befitting a trollop of her magnitude, this unrepentant harlot decided, without consulting with her parents (Thou shalt honor whom?), to set up an interview with Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren. The topic? Teen pregnancy and abstinence, from an expert on both subjects.

We’ve only used some small snippets of the interview. If you’re interested, the full transcript is available at: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,494205,00.html

VAN SUSTEREN: I don’t want to pry to personally, but I mean, actually, contraception is an issue here. Is that something that you were just lazy about or not interested, or do you have a philosophical or religious opposition to it or…

BRISTOL: No. I don’t want to get into detail about that. But I think abstinence is, like — like, the — I don’t know how to put it — like, the main — everyone should be abstinent or whatever, but it’s not realistic at all.

That’s right. Everyone should be abstinent or whatever. Unless, apparently, they’d rather not.

Does Bristol have any regrets?

VAN SUSTEREN: . . . did you have any sort of sense about, I wish that maybe this would happen a year or two from now, rather than now?

BRISTOL: Yes. Of course. I wished it would have happened in, like, 10 years so I could have a job and an education and be, like, prepared and have my own house and stuff. But he brings so much joy, I don’t regret it at all. I just wish it would have happened in 10 years, rather than right now.

Seems she didn’t wish it enough to say NO to Levi.

So, if it’s “not realistic at all” to remain abstinent, what then?

VAN SUSTEREN: How do you change [rising rates of teen pregnancy, without contraception]?

BRISTOL: To see stories like this and to see other stories of teen moms and just — it’s something that’s — I don’t know, just — you should just wait 10 years and it’d just be so much easier.

There it is. Don’t be like Bristol Palin. Just wait ten years, but don’t be abstinent, because abstinence is not realistic at all, and don’t use contraception, because that’s wrong.

What’s left?

How about Technical Virginity?

Is that something Bristol Palin would support? We may never know . . . but a new study indicates that Technical Virginity is also “not realistic at all”:

A survey examining sexual depraved practices of U.S. teens has undercut the notion that many engage in oral sex [that is, a form of sodomy] rather than [normal, heterosexual, married] intercourse to stay “technically” virgins, researchers said on Tuesday.

The researchers found about 55 percent of the teens said they had engaged in oral sex perversions but that this practice was far more common among those who also had engaged in vaginal sex fornication.

So, Bristol, can you make a recommendation for teens today?

BRISTOL: Not really, I don’t think.

We’d pretty much guessed that, dear.

  1. No regrets? How about the fact that she singlehandedly cost our country the crown of Republicanism for AT LEAST the next four years? Is she even Republican? Does she care? This interview makes me wonder if we should have stricter laws about allowing retarded people to reproduce, because this girl is obviously mentally handicapped. Also, a big drawback of teen pregnancy is the girl is forever saddled with some guy from the football team as a husband. Really, it is better to look around for a while, first.

  2. PS: Jenny, the reason I asked if you lived with your mom the other day is because in an answer to a post I did you said “Cathleen, thanks for your kind words! This story is by a male contributor of ours, but Mom and I are always happy to hear that someone’s enjoying our site.” So, you and your mom don’t work on this project together? It sounded to me like you lived together to me.
