Why Christians Should Support Abortion

Christian Reconstructionist Gary DeMar offers something of a deal with the devil, explaining why maybe, just maybe, Christians SHOULD support legal abortion.

No, really!

After laying out the extreme predicament in which we find ourselves — overpopulated, with more people being born than dying every year — DeMar suggests we eliminate those he calls “useless eaters”: people who contribute little to society.

Only the best people should be exempted from the weeding out process. No doubt we could convince potential parents that their present “sacrifice” would result in a benefit for those who remain, including themselves. What groups commit the most crimes? What groups are a drain on tax dollars? There are other sensitive but necessary questions to be asked. Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood and author of The Pivot of Civilization, was not afraid to ask them. Such measures are for the good of us all.

In DeMar’s dream world, abortion is cheap, if not free. Contraceptives are handed out in public schools, and birth control even put in public schools’ water.

What?

Oh, yes. The Christian children are told by their parents not to drink the water. Christians eschew birth control and abortion; rather, they take the QuiverFull approach:

This will mean fewer liberals and anti-Christians in the future. While pro-abortion liberals are doing the environmentally friendly and politically correct thing, Christian conservatives with their large families will dominate the culture in a generation or two.

Ah, you think he’s making a funny. It’s all tongue-in-cheek, right?

You’re right. Er, sort of.

Let’s look at this later article of his:

How about this ad? “Keep abortion and birth control legal. It kills off all the right people.” Who’s getting most of the abortions? Liberals. Who’s having fewer babies? Liberals. At least one very liberal columnist has noticed the problem:

For the past 30 years or so, conservatives — particularly those of the right-wing red-state Christian strain — have been out-breeding liberals by a margin of at least 20 percent, if not far more . . .

He goes on to present proof that pro-abortion activists are actually elitist and racist!

. . . abortion has been described by some black leaders, including Jesse Jackson at one time, as “black genocide.” Here are a few statistics that African Americans might not be aware of:

  • Between 1882 and 1968, 3,446 Blacks were lynched in the U.S. That number is surpassed in less than 3 days by abortion.
  • 1,452 African-American children are killed each day by abortion.
  • 3 out of 5 pregnant African-American women will abort their child.
  • Since 1973 there have been over 13 million Black children killed and their mothers victimized by the U.S. abortion industry.

Abortion has other consequences.

By reducing America’s native-born working class, it encourages illegal immigration. There’d be no need for illegal labor if we had our own peasant class.

In Europe, Muslims are rapidly out-reproducing the native Christian population. Within another couple of generations, Europistan will become an Islamofascist nation.

So, should Christians support abortion? What do you think?

  1. Abortion should be legalized up until the fourth trimester at least.

  2. Heck. I think it should be legal up until the 50th trimester.

    • That would be going beyond God’s Law.

An infant is not to be counted in a census until it is one month old; this suggests that the child is worthless.

However, there is nothing in the Bible suggesting that the unborn are worthless; in fact, if a woman is injured in a fight and miscarries, her assailant must pay a fine.

So, an unborn child is worth more than a born, but less-than-one-month child.

We’ve discussed it at length, and generally have agreed that the best course of action is to bear the child, find out what you’ve got, and then determine whether it should live or die before it reaches that magical 30-day mark.
